News Update: May 2025
Thriving in Motion South Hub Now Open!
We’re excited to announce that Thriving in Motion South Hub is officially up and running at Kardinya Community Centre, delivering inclusive, fun, and expertly guided exercise programs for children and teens of all abilities. We’ll be based here for the remainder of Term 2 before moving to Len Packham Clubrooms in Coolbellup from Term 3 onward.
At Thriving in Motion, we’re all about creating safe, supportive spaces where young people aged 5–17 can move their bodies, build confidence, and thrive—no matter their background, identity, or ability.
Free Group Programs for Kids and Teens (Term 2, 2025)
We’re currently offering a range of free, group-based exercise programs designed to support physical, social, and emotional wellbeing:
- Strength and Conditioning Groups Build foundational gym skills, movement literacy, muscle strength, and physical confidence in a supportive and age-appropriate environment.
- Small Group Sessions tailored for children and adolescents who benefit from structured support, smaller group sizes, and a strong sense of connection.
- Youth Moves A unique program designed specifically for adolescents who are trans, gender diverse, and/or neurodivergent. Youth Moves provides a safe, affirming space to explore movement, build strength, and connect with like-minded peers.
Expert-Led, Strengths-Based Support
Our sessions are delivered by experienced Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) and Accredited Exercise Scientists (AESs) who specialise in inclusive, ability-affirming care. Every program is adapted to suit individual needs, encouraging participation, motivation, and long-term confidence in movement.
A Convenient, Inclusive Space
Kardinya Hall and Len Packham Clubrooms are located just off the Kwinana Freeway, with easy access, plenty of parking, and a quiet, open setting that supports sensory and physical needs. It’s a welcoming space for families across Perth’s southern suburbs.
- Term 2: Kardinya Hall – Tuesdays and Fridays – Kardinya
- Term 3: Len Packham Clubrooms, Coolbellup – Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays – Coolbellup
