Team Thriving Runs Margaret River Ultra Marathon to Build the Next 15 Years
Team Thriving is once again taking on the Margaret River Ultra Marathon, marking the sixth consecutive year participating in this iconic 80km coastal endurance event. In 2025, the run also celebrates 15 years of Thriving in Motion, while raising funds to equip the organisation’s new Balcatta facility with specialised sensory and neurodiverse-friendly paediatric exercise equipment.
The Margaret River Ultra Marathon is no small feat — 80 kilometres of coastline, trails, sand and hills demanding grit, teamwork and resilience. This year, four teams will run in support of young people who benefit from Thriving in Motion’s inclusive exercise programs. In an extraordinary commitment, Meagan will complete the full 80km ultramarathon solo — and return the following day to do it again, covering 160 kilometres across two days.
This Thriving in Motion Margaret River Ultra Marathon fundraiser is focused on impact beyond the finish line. Funds raised will directly support the purchase of adaptive, sensory-informed equipment designed for young people with disability, neurodivergence, diverse sensory profiles and complex health needs. The new Balcatta space has been designed to ensure accessibility, safety and empowerment from day one.
Every kilometre run strengthens Thriving in Motion’s capacity to deliver inclusive, evidence-based youth exercise programs for the next generation.
