News Update: March 2026
Support Thriving in Motion Build the Next Chapter of Inclusive Youth Exercise
For 15 years, Thriving in Motion has delivered inclusive, evidence-informed exercise programs for children and young people across Western Australia. What began in borrowed community spaces has grown into a trusted not-for-profit supporting young people living with disability, neurodivergence, chronic illness, gender diversity and complex mental health challenges.
In 2026, Thriving in Motion will open its first permanent inclusive exercise facility in Balcatta, creating a purpose-designed space to expand services, reduce waitlists and improve access for families. This dedicated centre will allow us to intentionally design an environment grounded in inclusion, dignity and strength-based practice.
To bring this vision to life, we are raising funds to equip the facility with specialised sensory and neurodiverse-friendly paediatric exercise equipment, including:
Adjustable and adaptable strength equipment
Sensory-informed movement tools
Regulation-supportive spaces
Equipment designed for diverse physical and cognitive needs
These resources ensure young people with varying sensory profiles and support needs can participate safely, confidently and meaningfully.
As part of our 15 Years in Motion campaign, Team Thriving will again take on the Margaret River Ultra Marathon to help fund this next stage of growth. But sustainable impact requires broader community partnership.
If you value inclusive health, preventative wellbeing and equitable access to movement, we invite you to support Thriving in Motion’s inclusive exercise facility.
