Thriving in Motion’s Kids & Teens Program Wins 2025 AUSactive National Award for Social Value & Community Impact

Thriving in Motion’s Kids & Teens Program has been named the 2025 AUSactive National Award winner for Social Value & Community Impact, recognising more than 14 years of dedicated exercise programs that support children and teens facing barriers to physical activity.

Delivered in partnership with Telethon7 and The University of Western Australia, the program combines therapeutic exercise with opportunities for connection, confidence-building, and joy. Co-Founder and COO, Dr Kemi Wright, says:

“We design every session with therapeutic goals in mind, but for our kids and teens, it’s about joy, connection, and feeling part of something positive. That’s where change truly begins.”

This award reflects Thriving in Motion’s ongoing commitment to inclusive youth health programs, evidence-based practice, and community engagement, providing safe, impactful exercise opportunities for children and teens with complex health needs, disabilities, or social disadvantage.

Acknowledgements: Thriving in Motion thanks its team and partners, including The University of Western Australia, Telethon7, and the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, for enabling scalable impact in youth health and wellbeing.
