Can you tell us a little about your work with MHEX?
Marion’s work is focussed on the analysis of any kind of large data, finding new applications of established methods inside MHEX. She was inspired by the application of theory to real-world problems in mental health and exercise.
What’s the part of your work you enjoy the most? And the most challenging?
I love the challenge of solving data related problems (which matches her love of puzzles). Be able to jump in wherever some data wrangling is needed.
Its a challenge accepting that not everything can be measured.
When you are not at work where can you be found?
Cycling, preferably downhill, spending time in nature, or a jigsaw puzzle on a rainy day.
How would your colleagues describe you in three words?
German, organised, not as scary when they get to know me.
Do you have a favourite quote, motto, or piece of advice that guides you?
Just keep pedalling (Obviously based in cycling, but works in life as well)
If you weren’t in research, what job could you see your self doing?
Running a bakery selling good bread.
Finally, what would you say to someone interested in starting a career in research?
It’s a journey. Pick something you really thrive for.
